Terms of use
Last updated:
These terms cover the Minare — Prayer Times app, the Minare Pro subscription, the minare.app website and, once released, the Minare Qur'an app. By using the apps or the site you accept these terms. The service is provided by Mehmet Kalaycı.
Minare is distributed through the App Store and Google Play, and Minare Qur'an through the App Store. For apps downloaded from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) applies to anything these terms do not cover. For Minare downloaded from Google Play, your use of Google Play is subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
The service
Minare works out prayer times astronomically for the method and location you choose. Calculated times can differ by a few minutes from those published by official bodies or kept at your mosque; you can change the method and minute adjustments in Settings. Checking prayer times remains your responsibility.
The qibla compass relies on the device's sensors; magnetic fields and calibration can affect it.
Mosque, drinking water and toilet information comes from OpenStreetMap and may be incomplete or wrong.
Minare Pro subscription
Prayer times, notifications, qibla, calendar and mosques are free. Minare Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks the additional features listed on the purchase screen in the app.
- There are monthly and annual plans. The current price is shown in your local currency in the App Store or on Google Play before you buy.
- For eligible accounts the annual plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the annual price is charged.
- Payment is charged when you confirm the purchase: to your Apple Account on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and to your Google account through Google Play on Android. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store account settings, on Android in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or in the app under Settings → Minare Pro → Manage subscription; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's rules (reportaproblem.apple.com).
- For purchases made through Google Play, refund requests are handled under Google Play's refund policy (support.google.com/googleplay).
- If Pro ends, none of your locations or settings are deleted; only the Pro features are locked.
Minare Qur'an: accounts and community rules
An account for group khatm is opened with a passkey on your device; you must keep your account and your device secure. You can delete your account inside the app at any time.
You are responsible for what you share, such as khatm names, dedications, chat messages and profile photos. Insults, harassment, hate speech, obscenity, spam and unlawful content are forbidden, with zero tolerance.
You can report an objectionable message and block a person from the app. Reports are reviewed; we may remove content that breaks these rules and close the account responsible without notice.
Licence and data sources
The apps and the site are offered to you under a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence. Reverse engineering and bulk copying of the app or its data are not allowed.
- Place data: © OpenStreetMap contributors, Open Database License (ODbL).
