Delete your Minare account
A Minare account is one account for Minare — Prayer Times, Minare Qur'an and minare.app. Deleting it removes it from all of them at once.

Three ways to delete it
In the app
- Minare — Prayer Times
- Profile › Account › Delete account
- Minare Qur'an
- Profile › your account › Delete account
Confirm, and the account is deleted at once.
On the web, without the app
- Sign in at minare.app with your passkey. If you lost it, choose “Lost your passkey?” and enter the code we email to your account's address.
- On your account page (Developer dashboard), choose “Delete account” at the bottom and confirm.
By email
Write from the email address registered to your account and ask for it to be deleted. We delete it within 30 days, usually much sooner, and reply to confirm.
Deleted immediately
- your name, email address and profile photo
- your passkeys and every sign-in session; you are signed out on all devices
- prayer tracker, missed (qada) prayer and tasbih data synced to the account
- Qur'an bookmarks, last reading position and reading history
- device tokens for notifications, your notifications, trusted-person links, blocks and message reactions
- your khatm memberships and parts you had taken but not finished; khatms you organise pass to their longest-standing participant, or close if there is none
- all developer dashboard data: API keys, usage statistics, plan record, web sign-ins and email verification codes
What remains, and for how long
- Completed khatm parts and chat messages stay so that other people's khatms remain whole, but they are linked to a nameless account: your name and email are no longer shown or stored with them.
- The server's encrypted database backups may still contain your data for up to 30 days, after which they are overwritten.
- An active paid developer subscription (Polar) is cancelled right away, not at the end of the period, so nothing more is charged; if the payment provider cannot be reached at that moment, the cancellation is retried automatically every hour. Polar, the merchant of record, keeps its own customer record and past invoices.
- Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription (Minare Pro); cancel it in your store account. Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep their purchase records.
- Live Activity entries on the lock screen are not linked to an account; they are anonymous and are deleted when you turn the setting off, at the latest after 9 days.
Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. If you sign up again later, you start with a new, empty account.
